What is Avant Garde?
Located in the north of Geneva and bordered by forests of France and Switzerland, the Doubs river valley has a centuries-old the tradition of making special paper. The valley where the river flows is now home to more than one paper mill and was the birthplace of high quality art paper brand Avant-garde.
Avant-garde is an art product brand which was created by transforming pulp from sustainable sources in accordance with the EU standards. All Avant-garde branded papers are produced in France in accordance with the standards of the European Union.
For dry brush technique and calligraphy Esquisse series products are in the foreground, Watercolor 20% Cotton and Watercolor 100% Cotton series products are used for techniques such as acrylic painting and watercolor painting. Watercolor paper with 20% Cotton and Watercolor paper made from 100% Cotton are recommended for professional artists who expect high performance.
All our products are available in sheets of size 70×100 cm, 50×70 cm and 35×50cm. A wide range of drawing pads from 13×19 cm to 48×68 cm could be preferred. If you don’t want to limit your creativity, you can also try our roll art papers which are the first in Turkey and are only available in Avant-garde. Remove borders with roll art papers that are available in lengths up to 100 meters and made specifically for each technique and could be applied from a dry brush technique to watercolor painting!
